Socket Grafting
Applicable for 3 situations:
- Narrow sockets or large sockets with a septum – Use 3DBond+™ with Augma Shield™ to cover the graft. A collagen plug sutured over the socket crestal opening can be used when Augma Shield™ is not available.
- Large sockets with vertical walls intact – Place Bond Apatite® without flap elevation. Cover with Augma Shield™, using non resorbable or long term resorbable sutures.. Reentry at 4 months.
- Socket grafting with a missing buccal plate – Conservative flap elevation (wide envelope or single vertical remote incision) to expose the defect and allow complete granulomatous tissue removal. Consider using Augma’s granulation kit with copious irrigation. Graft with Augma Bond Apatite® and closure of the flap under tension. No periosteal releasing incisions should be made.
