The patient is a healthy, 20-year-old male. The small cyst was discovered after experiencing strong pain in the area of tooth #11 (8).
Tooth #11 (8) was endodontically treated twice. Four months after the second treatment the cyst is still apparent. He has some pain and discomfort from time to time during this period.
The root resection of tooth #11 (8) is done with preparation and backfill of the root canal with MTA. The cyst was removed confirmed as a radicular cyst after histopathology examination.
The bone defect is filled with 1cc Augma Bond Apatite®. After 2 years, follow-up shows good remodelling of the bone and soft tissue healing was observed.
