The patient is a healthy, 45-year-old female.
The endodontists are afraid of doing re-endo in tooth #21 (9), because the root canal was filled with phosphate endo cement. It was dangerous to go through the canal with endo tools without root canal perforation. Also, the risk of root fracture was high. A root resection of tooth #21 (9) was performed, along with enucleation of the little cyst (confirmed with histopathology examination).
The bone defect was filled with Bond Apatite® (1 cc). After 3 years follow-up good remodeling of the bone and healing was observed.
