Healthy female, age 52 years. The crown and furcation of tooth #46 (30) was totally damaged. Extraction and immediate implant placement ( D-3.7 mm, L-11.5 mm) were performed and the bone defect around the implant was filled with Bond Apatite® (1 cc).
It is important to note that in this case the flap was extended up to 10 mm by stretching the periosteum without any vertical incisions.
Good healing and no clinical symptoms were observed up to 4 weeks post-op. Moreover, there was only one day of pain and two days of post-op swelling.
