Zygoma

Use Bond Apatite® to cover the extra-maxillary portion of the implant. This is done in lieu of buccal fat pad advancement. The zygomatic implant has to be covered by tightly packed Bond Apatite® that makes contact with the host maxillary bone. Since there is a large flap elevation, there will be no tension in the flap and the graft volume will be diminished. Therefore it is essential to overbuild the graft.
