At the first stage, soft tissue proliferation might appear as if the material has collapsed or has washed out. This appearance does not indicate that the grafting procedure was not successful.

If I mixed AUGMA with patients blood, could that mix results in a successful Sinus augmentation?

Thank you for your question. Here is the answer from Dr. Amos Yahav:
Augma products should not be mixed with blood for 2 main reasons.
1. Mixing with blood is not needed, since the material is highly hygroscopic and blood resorbs quickly inside the crystallin structure of the cement after it sets.
2. If the material is mixed with blood it will compromise its ability to set and crystalized.
